Additional Information: His name implies he's shy, but adorable tuxedo kitten Coy is anything but! Very energetic and extremely friendly, he's happiest when he's at the center of the action. He loves to be around people and especially enjoys getting their attention; he's thrilled when he gets some nice chin rubbing. Coy has the high energy typical of kittens, and also has endless curiosity and playfulness. He can amuse himself for hours with toys, whether they're “dancing cat” ones on a string or even ones he can improvise on the spot like shoelaces. He's a fluffy black and white ball of fun! If you think cats just lay around sleeping all day, Coy will change your mind! On the other hand, Coy is affectionate and loves to snuggle when he's finally worn himself out.

With his incessant playfulness, Coy would probably do well in a home where he can cavort with other high energy animals. He absolutely loves dogs! Come meet with him soon if you want to bring extra amusement

into your home!

If you are interested in meeting a cat, we require an adoption application. Visit www.citydogsrescuedc.org/adopt-a-city-kitty.html to apply. If a cat has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon.

City Dogs Rescue is a foster based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. We focus on local adoptions in DC and the metro area of Maryland and Virginia. CDR has a thorough adoption process in order to find the best possible fit for each of our animals (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model).

Our cat adoption fee is $150 unless noted. Prior to arrival, all of our cats are spayed/neutered (unless specified) and given shots for Rabies, FVRCP, and Feline leukemia. They are microchipped and tested for FIV and FeLV. They are dewormed at least twice and given a health check by the vet.

We do our best to disclose all health records and known health conditions to adopters. Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations and health tests, but does not provide a comprehensive medical exam prior to adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDR & CK.  City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
